Representation from Japan on Soundcloud

This is gonna be a short blog. I havent posted in a while. watched a Vice video discussing a new movement in the west coast and Tokyo. A new cultural demographic "Starkids" is taking shape in the rebellious Tokyo underground. The aesthetic of this movement is that of an adolescent videogame character. The music is characterized by heavy base lines, poppy synths with chiptune elements. Alot of the producers live modest, normal lives. In my opinion, the talent is extrordinary for it being produced on FL studio.

Anime and videogames are a normative part of the lifestyle. Its cool to know that Japan holds influence on soundcloud. There is actually a tight camaraderie with in the community. There a large scale shows where Starkids can meet up. I wonder what the unity of the movement will evolve into. Id like to see the evolution process.
